Chapter Objectives

• To highlight the crucial role of effective feedback in facilitating holistic student development and fostering habits of self-regulated lifelong learning.

• To identify and explore the critical components of effective feedback in higher education.

• To elucidate the coaching approach to feedback, emphasising its dialogic nature,

solutions-focused perspective and strengths-based orientation.

• To delve into the significance of emotional awareness and self- regulation in giving

and receiving feedback and underscore the impact of leveraging positivity through a strengths-based feedback approach.

• To shed light on common challenges educators encounter during feed-back dialogues and propose effective strategies to address them.
