This case examines the difficulties that hospitality operators face in forecasting demand during the current Covid-19 crisis using data analytics. The erratic and consequently unpredictable nature of the pandemic, as well as the general fear that is caused by it, has resulted in travelers frequently changing their plans to visit certain destinations. This clearly puts the hotels in such destinations in jeopardy, especially because, as highlighted above, this shifting of demand may simply be based on the sentiments of the traveler.
