Solomon Islands Tourism

<p dir="ltr">Solomon Islands is an archipelagic country consisting of 992 islands divided into nine provinces. It is located in the South Pacific Ocean to the east of Papua New Guinea and northwest of Vanuatu (Fig. <a href="https://link.springer.com/rwe/10.1007/978-3-319-01669-6_671-5#Fig1" target="_blank">1</a>), and has an area of 284,000 km<sup>2</sup> (11,000 mi<sup>2</sup>). The population is around 680,000, mostly (95%) Melanesian, with 70% of inhabitants living in rural areas spread across more than 300 islands. The official language is English and the capital, Honiara with a population of 84,500, is located on Guadalcanal, the largest island.</p><p dir="ltr"><br></p>
