The purpose of the scoping review was to investigate the potential of mobile low-dose x-ray computed tomography (LDCT) in lung cancer screening programs for high-risk individuals. The primary finding is that utilisation of mobile LDCT units could greatly increase screening accessibility, particularly in areas with geographic or socioeconomic limitations. This increased accessibility, in turn, has the potential to boost participation rates and contribute to greater health equity. We conclude that the successful implementation of such programs would require extensive collaboration among a wide range of stakeholders, including policymakers, healthcare providers, and technology developers.
