Undergraduate Occupational Therapy (OT) students’ experience on implementation of Entrustable Professional Activities (EPA) framework for collaborative learning: An Exploratory Qualitative Research
This study explores how undergraduate occupational therapy (OT) students in Singapore use Entrustable Professional Activities (EPA) for collaborative learning during clinical placements, addressing gaps in understanding collaborative learning processes and the limited qualitative research on EPA’s role in preparing students for clinical practice. Through an online exploratory qualitative study with 24 students, four key themes were identified to enhance collaborative learning: EPA design, student proactiveness, accessible learning environments, and the role of Clinical Educators in facilitating learning. Findings suggest the need for EPA refinements to improve objectiveness, accessibility, and flexibility, enhancing collaborative learning for OT students. |
