This report is a collaborative effort between the Singapore Charity Council, KPMG, and the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) aimed at assessing the current state of awareness and understanding of risk management practices among Charities and Institutions of a Public Character (IPCs). The report seeks to provide insights into how these organizations manage and mitigate risks in an increasingly complex and dynamic environment. It also serves as a follow-up to a prior survey conducted in 2016, incorporating updated perspectives on critical topics such as Business Continuity Planning (BCP), Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices, and the emerging challenges related to Climate Risk. These updates reflect the evolving landscape of risk management and underscore the importance of building resilient and sustainable frameworks within the charitable sector.
