Using Virtual Reality to Improve Community Functioning of Persons With Cognitive Impairment

This presentation covers how cognitive impairments affect community functioning and how cognitive rehabilitation is conducted by occupational therapists to improve functioning in this important area. In recent years, technology such as virtual reality has been utilised in community living training. Various interventions are outlined in this presentation. Lastly, a study on the initial development phase of a virtual reality prototype to improve community functioning for persons with mental illness is described.
