Associate Professor and Cluster Director (Mental health services; Health sciences)

A/Prof Tan Bhing Leet is the Cluster Director at the Health and Social Sciences Cluster, Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). She oversees Allied Health and Nursing faculty and teaches mental health in the Occupational Therapy programme. Prior to this appointment, she served as the Head of Occupational Therapy Department at the Institute of Mental Health. She graduated from the University of Queensland with a PhD in Psychiatry and is a registered occupational therapist with Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) in Singapore and Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in United Kingdom. A/Prof Tan was a recipient of the National Day Award Commendation Medal and National Healthcare Group Allied Health Educator Award. She also served at the World Health Organisation (WHO) Development Group for Schizophrenia. Her clinical and research interests are in the areas of psychosocial rehabilitation, cognitive rehabilitation and vocational rehabilitation.
