Microlearning provides for just-in-time, bite-sized learning outside classroom hours. Research has shown that it is effective in reinforcing students' learning of content and retaining knowledge. There are differences however in how microlearning is designed, as compared to macrolearning (the traditional classroom interaction).

This presentation presents tips on how to design for microlearning based on experience gained in curating and developing microlearning modules/apps. The presentation focuses on one example: the Interpersonal Skills module to draw the distinction between designing for macrolearning and microlearning.

This presentation is useful to help those interested in converting their macrolearning modules into microlearning modules.
