Associate Professor (Engineering)


Dr Tan Kuan Tak is currently an Associate Professor at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). He is registered as Chartered Engineer with Engineering Council, UK and Certified Energy Manager with The Institution of Engineers, Singapore. He is also a Specialist Adult Educator registered with the Institute for Adult Learning, Singapore. Dr Tan has several years of teaching experience in the engineering field. Prior to joining SIT, he has worked as a research fellow in NTU, as an engineer at SP PowerGrid, and as a lecturer at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore. His research interests include smart grids and microgrids, power distribution systems and protection, advanced electrification for transportation and buildings and energy management.
